My Love/Hate Relationship With One Direction...

For those of you who don't already know, today was the premiere of 1D's documentary 1D: This Is Us. So, I thought it would appropriate to write about my beloved relationship with One Direction...at 11 pm. I'm quite tired, so once again, don't mind my mistakes.
It all started about two years ago. One of my best friends at the time told me about the band, and about their song "What Makes You Beautiful". So, me being myself, I went and searched it up. Sure enough, I quite liked the song, and spent extensive hours trying to memorize the lyrics.
Once I thought I was pretty good at singing the song, I decided (stupidly) that I wanted to record myself singing it and post it on Facebook, and thank goodness I didn't. I was so angry at how bad I sounded that I decided to stop liking them.
That seemed to work for a good while, until they realized Take Me Home. And sure enough, there I was again, on a 1D Frenzy. I swear, I watched the "Little Things" video about 20 times over the winter holidays. Darn that Niall with his amazing eyes. I swear he was staring at me...
Anyways, moving on. I think for a little bit after that, I didn't hear much of One Direction, so I sort of forgot about them for a while, which was definitely for the best. Definitely.
Then they came out with One Way Or Another (which is a cover of Blondie's song for those of you who don't know), and I thought it was really sweet of them to donate the proceeds to charity. There I was again, my heart strings being tugged by a kind act of One Direction.
Which leads me to now, and the release of "Best Song Ever". I have to admit, that song is my jam. I know that it's been accused of copying multiple different songs, but the tune is catchy, the video is funny (strange, but funny), and the dance is very...interesting?
In conclusion, I think 1D is just one of those bands that you can't resist smiling at every now and then. And then there are those times when you can't believe you ever liked them. Kind of like Lindsay Lohan, now that I think about it...

Lots of Love,
